Redefining resilience
Sustainable resilience includes recovery, flexibility, self-awareness, and the capacity to change strategy when the current one is no longer working.

Recovery is productive
Rest, sleep, nourishment, movement, connection, and periods of reduced stimulation can replenish resources needed for attention, judgment, emotional regulation, and persistence.

Flexibility prevents brittle strength
A rigid plan may work until circumstances change. Flexible resilience asks what the goal is and what other route can get you there.

The next constructive move
A useful question is: What is the next constructive move that is actually under my control? That turns an abstract challenge into behavior.

Build evidence of adaptability
Every time a person notices a pattern, adjusts, recovers, and moves again, they accumulate evidence of adaptability.
